TEAM GOODSLEEVE / J.S.R
DRIVER:
Jason Soudrette - like his grandfather and father, has grown up in Cincinnati. Jason, with competition in his blood, started out racing BMX bikes. In a timeframe of just a few years, he accumulated over 200 victories. Even with much success in bike racing, Jason felt the need for speed. He went to his dad and told him he was interested in following in the family footsteps of auto-racing. With this, he started out go-kart racing, and eventually Jason Soudrette Racing was born.
MASTER MECHANIC
Tom Soudrette (a.k.a., Grandpa)
- grew up as a Cincinnati, Ohio native and also as a military vet. In the military, Tom served his country as a mechanic, mostly working on helicopter and other large engines. After his time spent in the military, he decided to enter into the world of racing. With his excellent ability to drive, his awesome knowledge about engines, and other details about cars, he made quite a name for himself in the field of racing.
OWNER/ MECHANIC/CREW CHIEF
John Soudrette
- also grew up a Cincinnati native. John pays the bills as a highly skilled carpenter and supervisor. After work, he goes straight to his true passion, working on the racecar. Using the knowledge passed down from his father, Tom, and skills that he acquired on his own, John spends hours after work putting the car together. This father-son duo has worked with other great names in the race world such as:
Greg Staab, Butch Wilkerson, Jim Luebers, Ross Smith, Woody Fisher, and even Richard Petty himself.
CREWMAN
Chuck “Juan” Wells
Chuck is a valuable member of the pit crew team. He is an all around crewman and does everything from pushing the car off for starts, to changing tires, and getting under the hood to make sure the car is running at top level.
CREWMAN/SPONSOR
Matthew “Mud Goodsleeve” Schlensker
Matthew makes sure the regular maintenance of the car is taken care of at the race track.
Whether it be changing shocks, tires, or getting in the rear end and swithing out gears between races, he is at the track every time the #44 is running. With an automotive backround in both mechanics and autobody, Matthew fell out of the car world for years, but
teaming up with team J.S.R. has given him a new love for dirt track racing.
