Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

Goodsleeve Screenprinting Company has been in existence since 2007. Our staff artists have been screenprinting off and on for 15 years, and collectively have over 20 years of artistic experience (drawing, painting, tattooing, etc.)

2. DO YOU PRINT ANYTHING OTHER THAN T-SHIRTS?

We print a huge variety of items - jackets, hoodies, panties, art prints, coozies, hats, record/CD covers and much more. We can print anywhere on an item of clothing, not just the front and back; hoods, sleeves, and ribs can all be printed. We also offer digital printing - banners, vinyl graphics, yard (election-style) signs, as well as heat-pressed and promotional items. Bottom line, if you need something printed, Goodsleeve Printing Company can do it.

3. DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER?

Not exactly, but the more you order, the lower the unit cost is going to be. We prefer a 12-shirt minimum order, but will print smaller runs. One-off shirts are popular, and we have no problem doing them, but keep in mind that the cost will be higher for a one-off custom shirt. For other items, the minimum will vary, so drop us an email or give us a call for a more accurate quote.

4. CAN YOU USE MY DESIGN?

If it is printable, yes. Designs using photographs can be difficult to reproduce without significant design alterations, but we can reproduce the vast majority of customer-created designs.

5. WHAT ARE YOUR IN-HOUSE ART CHARGES?

If you have your artwork all ready to go, then zero. Jobs that have artwork prepared properly for film output generally do not incur any setup charges. Any jobs requiring "clean-up" or digital design alterations run $25.00 an hour. Any jobs requiring hand-drawn design alterations will run $50.00 per hour.

6. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "PREPARED PROPERLY"?

Is it the right size? Are all colors separated into layers? If you said "yes" to both, you're probably fine.

7. WHAT ARE THE ART REQUIREMENTS?

We need the design as a useable digital file, either PC or MAC. We can use almost any file type, but we prefer Photoshop or Illustrator files (AI, EPS, PSD). JPG's and TIFF's are also acceptable, and all images must be 300 dpi or higher. Please contact us with any other specific questions.

8. WHAT BRANDS OF T-SHIRTS DO YOU USE?

We offer over 10,000 different styles, cuts, and brands, but we mainly use Anvil, Gildan, Jerzees, or American Apparel, as these are the brands most requested by our customers.

9. TO WHERE WILL YOU SHIP?

We are happy to ship anywhere in the world. Shipping charges will vary, depending on destination and weight, and will be calculated post-production.

10. WHAT IS YOUR AVERAGE TURN-AROUND TIME TO COMPLETE A JOB?

As soon as the artwork is approved and print-ready, and deposit is secured, the average turn-around time is 7 to 10 days (usually 7). Of course, significantly larger orders may require additional time, but an estimated completion time will be offered prior to printing.

11. WHAT IS YOUR REQUIRED DEPOSIT?

Usually it is 50% of the estimated quote. Please note: An estimate is just that. It is not set in stone. It is possible that the job could run less, or more, than the original estimate.

12. WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Money orders, PayPal, checks and credit cards (upon approval), and of course, cold, hard cash.
